RE: Managing DSS from linux command line

Hi,

You can do a lot of things via command line too.

Stop and start your server via startup scripts (If you don't have one, build it yourself), or with “/sbin/service DarwinStreamingServer start/sop”

Search the list or contact me, I'll give you some examples.

You can view connections, etc.

Here is some info for you: http://wiki.blagblagblag.org/Darwin_Streaming_Server

Regards,

Leon Kolchinsky

Subject: Managing DSS from linux command line

Hy, I've DSS 5.5.4 (whithout quicktime client problems. Thanks to the developers) installed in ubuntu dapper and it works nice.

I've read the users manual and seems that the only way to manage the server is through the webpage interface.

Does somebody know if it's possible managing the server (stopping and runing the server, editing and creating playists, viewing connections... ) with command line.

Thanks.

 Rafel.
