Re: Has anybody at Apple been working on DSS lately?

It would also be nice to get some status on when dss will show up on macosforge. No news since Aug 11th.

Hi,

I do not remember any reply or communication from the developers since "fork initiative" on this list :(

P.S.:
I'm also hope to hear any comments from the developers, regarding features they are planning for the next release and what is happening with the notorious "misaligned statements" in the source code?

Subject: RE: Has anybody at Apple been working on DSS lately?

Hi all.

I have read topics in the July 2006 where authors
describes some problems connected with pathches of
DSS, periodicity of this patches and a lot more.

The question that appears to authors of these messages: Something has changed in this sphere in your opinion?

Now I am deciding which software to choose for
streaming to mobile phones. DSS seems the best (it is
the only server that support good enough streaming for
3G mobiles (3gp format), and possibility of adding
custom modules). But without good development
support... There is no sence to use it.

So, authors of topics - do you still using DSS? or
something else (what)? something has changed from
those time?

PS Reading mailing lists now it seems to me that DSS
is slightly dead:((
