Thread-topic: Has anybody at Apple been working on DSS lately?
Hi,
"Life
Signs" you say :)
Seems to me that no Apple developer is reading this "dev" list :(, or even user list.
They've released 5.5.4 version but didn't fix trivial, long time known errors like "time/date" problem so we need to use patches :(
All it takes is just to read community feedbacks from the list and read a little of our wiki at http://streaming411.com/wiki/
But it seems that they don't give a hack...
It's time to speak to Apple's management IMHO.
If anyone have any "connections", please do so and let us know if there is any investment on Apple side to continuing development of DSS.
Best Regards,
Leon Kolchinsky

Maybe it's time for another open intent-to-fork letters.
It got them off their asses (alebeit briefly) the last time... :/
On the other hand, it wasn't *that* long ago since version 5.5.4 was
released. That would indicate at least *some* recent activity on
Apple's part.
Is *anyone* at Apple reading this? If so, please show some life
signs! :)
Thanks,
Volkert
