RECORD method support

Hi,
I am using darwin DarwinStreamingSrvr5.5.3 on red hat linux. I have installed it from the source.
My question is: Though the server says that it supports the RTSP RECORD method, it does not seem so. It gives me Internal Server Error (500) on giving RECORD request.
Also, in the source code I couldnt find anything for that.
Whats the fact??
Is'nt it still fully supported, if so, when will it be?
