I'm not sure if this entirely on-topic, but does anyone of this list
have any experience with transcoding an RTSP stream from Darwin
Streaming Server to an SMPTE 259M feed? And what would be the best
affordable and reliable SDI/ASI output hardware to use with such a
set-up? Would the stream have to be transcoded to mpeg2 first?
Or perhaps is there a more practical way to go about this?
If I sound like a n00b on these matters, I plead guilty as charged.
Although I have quite a bit of experience with streaming video on the
internet, all these broadcast industry technologies are very new to me.
I hope some of you guys can point me in the right direction.
