Wouldn't MPEG4IP with DSS/QSS work?

If not are there any ready to go front ends for mod_h264 http://h264.code-shop.com/trac/wiki/WikiStart ?

Along with apps to encode and store/write the location of the video to a backend DB?

Would it be possible to catalog the videos in FInal Cut Server, tap its postgres DB to generate the front end and use mod_h264 to stream?

Is there anything out there with this capability?

I would prefer an open source solution to build from but I would seriously consider a commercial/third party solution to reduce development time.
Nothing hosted or subscription based, needs to be local.

On a side note I'm also looking for a Final Cut Server web front end and a way to publish to Darwin Streaming Server/Quicktime Server.

Ideas?

I'm looking for an H264 streaming server that supports iOS. Is it possible to stream H264(.mp4 extension)?
with Darwin Streaming Server(DSS)?

Are there any web front ends that are already built for DSS? I would also need an app or web front end that allows
videos to be uploaded/written to a back end database that powers the front end video on demand section.

Can anyone point me in the right direction?
