SpamPro and Rtspam questions

Hello,

We are using the Apple provided load testing tools, SpamPro and the older
Rtspam, to benchmark the performance of our DSS servers. In doing so, we
have run into a few problems with each tool. We were wondering if Apple
would provide a suggestion or if anyone else has seen similar problems.

1.Rtspam is unable to open multiple files. For instance I have created
hundreds of files called rtspam.mov, rtspam.mov.1,
rtspam.mov.2,.................. Then, I invoke the command rtspam -n x -f x
on one client machine and it opens files rtspam.mov - rtspam.mov.x
correctly. However, I would like to be able to go to the next client
machine and have it start opening movie files at rtspam.mov.x+1. I have not
found a way to get Rtspam to do this.

2. SpamPro WILL open multiple files through the .conf file, however,
reporting with Spampro seems very unreliable. If I open 200 spampro
sessions on one machine and 200 on another I should have 400 rtsp
connections. When I access the admin tool of DSS it will show anywhere
between 250 -450. I'm not sure why it is not reflective of what my clients
are doing. Usually these nomilies appear at higher numbers. I'm wondering
if it counts failed attempts as live connections. This makes it very
difficult to perform any reliable benchmarking stress tests.

By the way, I have not been able to find ANY documentation on either tool.
Is documentation available for either tool? If so, where can I find it.

Thanks for any help.
