Hi all,
I've got a little QuickTime experience and managed to use the file format for
inclusion of my own data associated with a certain video sequence. This is all
done through a limited interface and not in real-time.
I now want to add extra data to a QuickTime movie that is being broadcasted
through a broadcasting server. Before I dive into the API's I'd like to ask
some question to you experts on the feasability of my project.
1. Since the stream I will be broadcasting should be client dependent, I must
be able to access individual streams that will be streamed.
2. Using the Streaming Server extensions, can I open up the QuickTime
broadcast, add information to it in real-time and then stream the modified
QuickTime stream to the client.
3. Since this is a research project, I'm not interested in performance (yet).
I'd just like to adapt the settings for the extra information to be added in
real-time.
4. Can anybody provide me with some code examples regarding these topics?
5. Is there an open source or freeware broadcaster available out there. I'm
trying to spend as little time as possible on the broadcaster issues. What are
good broadcasters out there?
Any help is highly appreciated,
