A nice feature of StreamingLoadTool is the logging feature. This generates a log of each connection with even more info - average bandwidth, # lost packets, etc.

"playing" means that the PLAY has been issued and packets are being received
"failed" means the TCP connection couldn't be established
"error" means the server returned a non 200 response to an RTSP request.
"connected" or whaterver means that the TCP connection has been established.
