None specifically; if you are only doing standards-based streaming and less interested in the other parts of QT it may be simpler to use the Presentation API. Live broadcasting is absed around the presentation APi too.

and what are the units of the delay (ie, how long is 1 << 16)?


Fixed seconds (1<<16 is one second) Multiply the time in seconds by 65536
