Hello all,
I downloaded and installed the Solaris version of QTSS 3. It installed fine
and is running. From a Windows box I can open the sample.mov file from
QuickTime 5 by entering the URL rtsp://<hostname>/sample.mov, and I can
administer the server from port 1220. However, I cannot get sample.mov to
play through Netscape or IE with the embed tag.
From the archives it appears that others have had this trouble as well. I've
tried everything I can think of with no luck.
Is there a manual or documentation other than the PDF file that came with the
download? Is there a sample html file somewhere that works with the
sample.mov file? If so, is there a preferred location for that file?
FWIW, QTSS is running on an Ultra 5, which is also running an iPlanet web
server. Port 80 is not enabled in QTSS. I've tried it with with the web
server stopped. I've tried it with an html file in the web server root
directory with many different configurations, including:

target="QuickTimePlayer">
and
<embed src="http://10.0.0.4/linkimage.mov"; QTSRC="rtsp://10.0.0.4/sample.mov";>
I'm doing something wrong, but I can't see what it is. Any suggestions will
be greatly appreciated!
