Linux install

Ok gzip'd and untarred pkg.
Ran the install everything seemed fine.
When I try to connect to(from quicktime client):
rtsp://---ip-here---/hntv/hntv2.mov

I get:
"Couldn't open the file because of unknown error occurred.
The number of the error is 10060"

also ssh'd in the server I get this
[root@localhost streaming]# /usr/local/sbin/streamingadminserver.pl
Couldn't find the ja language messages file! at
/usr/local/sbin/streamingadminserver.pl line 2048.
[root@localhost streaming]#


What am I missing here?
The only thing I can think is port 554 is blocked by firewall
or
I'm missing something JAVA??? (a guess from the above error msg)

any help is super appreciated in advance!
