I have been running a QTSS successfully for a few months now on OSX Server,
and would like to implement QuickTime Broadcaster for live event streaming.
I'm trying to keep things simple until I understand what's going on better.
So, on another Mac with OS 10.2.4, have set Broadcaster 1.0.1 (the latest
version I could find to download) to stream a simple live audio and video
input, to about 110 kbps, using Manual Unicast to a dedicated IP. I then
exported an SDP file. I opened this on thea PC/Win2000 with that IP, with
QuickTime Player, and the stream worked fine.
However, I could not open the SDP file in the latest free Real One Player, I
got the alert "Scalable multicast. Could not find the connection information
in the session description file." I could also not play the sdp with Windows
Media Player.
Can I play these MPEG4 steaming files in Real One Player and Windows Media
Player, on a PC? What am I doing wrong?
Thanking anyone for the information,
