Simply put it's feasible. but you have to note below.

If you mean the router does NAT and IP masquerade stuff for your LAN, you need to make sure that your router passes through outbound UDP signal from the Mac on the LAN runnging QT Broadcaster to the Internet.

In short, you need to test your router's is smart enough to handle outbound UDP. (Recent routers are smart enough to handle that kind of signal, though)
