Thread-topic: Help with Reflector DSS?
Hi all,
I am not sure if I have to use the DSS like "reflector" feature, but I have not been able to get it too, well, I think it will be better if I explain it to you:
I have installed Darwin Streaming Server 4.1.2 on Win2K SP3 server machine.
My "broadcaster" is a Tandberg videoconference equipment with the streaming feature, it streams H.261 video and u-law audio. it works well with QT6 when I receive the multicast or unicast streaming directly from the videoconference codec to my PC with W98 in my Lan segment, but I want to transmit a live streaming signal through the intranet, that is I want to use the DSS.
The setup DSS test works well, but I have not been able to transmit a live webcast throught DSS.
I put this SDP file in the "movies" folder in the DSS4 server, it made itself in my videoconference equipment:

Then, when I want to get it with QT6: rtsp://myDSSserver/stream.sdp (with and without *.sdp), the player displays the error: "-3285 disconnected" and the DSS system break down suddenly, all the web-based DSS Admin UI displays "Unknown error: disconnected" and then I have to reset the application because it does not response.
The error log writes:

... all the time I want to try to connect it.
I have tried to change the port to HTTP: 80 in the DSSserver, then I used the request player: http://myDSSserver/stream.sdp with the change of the streaming transport ports in the player and the result is "connecting".... "connecting"... and nothing else !
Also, I tried change the ip multicast address for the myDSSserver ip address into the SDP file and add the relay configuration in the DSS and it did not happen nothing !
Then, I have three cuestions:
1. There is a question for how does the reflector work in the Streaming Server FAQs in QT Apple web page so, do I have to install and compile the ReflectorModules?. If it is true, can I use the source code in Windows 2000?, could anybody help me please...?, because I am new with this !!.
2. Do I need to install the cygwin? You are not mention it in your instructions for install it.
3. Neither one previous, so What do I have to do ?...
Please help me, I am lost !
