You have to upload the .sdp file to the streaming server using ftp or AppleShare. Then you open QT Player - Open URL and type:

rtsp://<IP-adress>/somename.sdp

Make sure that you have your firewall configured for UDP-port 554 otherwise select HTTP in Transport Settings.
