Re: Control of QT Broadcaster using custom presets

Daniel:

Has anyone been able to control the QT Broadcaster remotely using their
own created a/v presets?

Yes.

The easiest way to create the preset is to use the QuickTime Broadcaster application. From the GUI select "Save Preset" from the Preset pop-up in the Audio and/or Video tab. The preset will be saved in the currently logged in users ~/Library/QuickTime Broadcaster Presets/Audio or ~/Library/QuickTime Broadcaster Presets/Video folder.

The preset xml file needs to be copied to /Library/QuickTimeStreaming/Config/Broadcaster Presets/Audio or /Library/QuickTimeStreaming/Config/Broadcaster Presets/Video. When you administer the server and click on Broadcaster, you should see your copied presets in the pop-up menus.

Note that you cannot run the QuickTime Broadcaster application and start up a broadcast via QTSS Web Admin at the same time.
