I am student of BS(Computers) and now days i am working on my final year
project which is Real Time Remote Monitoring System. If any one want to know
more about my project i have attached the summary of my project
I am just thinking to use DSS for transmitting real time video on client side
obtained from webcam
Can any one tell me is it possible that what i am thinking and if it is
possible , please tell me which webcam is best supported by this type of
system
or If you have any other idea or suggestion about my project please tell me..

PROJECT SUMMARY
Real Time Monitoring System will allow user to see the live Interactive Video
on computer screen. This System will capture the live video using any
Interactive Camera and transmit it to the Streaming Server. On the Streaming
Server side this captured video will be compressed by certain amount.
Multiple Interactive Camera will connected to the server, when the client want
to see the transmission of particular Interactive Camera it will be connected
to the Streaming Server after successful authorization Streaming Server will
transmit the transmission to the client. Streaming Server will be involved in
switching between Interactive Cameras on client's request and can entertain
more than one client at a time.
On the client side Image processing techniques will be applied to enhance the
quality of transmission, decoding video transmission, detecting movement in
transmission, generating alarms and storing video up to certain limit
available for storage.
Certain security features will be available to enhance the integrity of
transmission like digital signature in video transmission and encryption of
video.
The purpose of this system is useful for security purpose where a user can
watch out and track the activities with in the limited range of Interactive
camera.
System can also be useful when there is no one watching at the computer screen
and user can set option that if there is any movement in the transmission just
inform to the person by ringing alarms and other such techniques in this way
there is no need to continuously monitoring on computer screen
This system is divided into three parts
1. Capturing the video stream using any Interactive Camera
2. Enhancing the quality of video and applying other image processing
techniques on video transmission
3. Client can request for transmission using RTC (Real Time
Communication) in a way that they get better quality image with minimum delay
and jitter

7 Client will save the transmission on local drive subject to memory
available on client's hard-disk

avoid jitter and delay
