Re: NAT

I'm using a Netopia R7200-T DSL router which has a static WAN IP address. I had to configure the NAT to transfer TCP from ports 80,554 and UDP on >=6970, <=6999 between the WAN and our QTSS. There is also a setup page called Servers under the NAT menu. There I made a server that allows ports 80, 548, 554, and 6970-6999 into our LAN. Our QTSS is on an Xserve with 2 NIC cards. The Reference Movie forces the stream through port 554: rtsp://xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx:554/moviename (xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx is our DSL router WAN address. Hope this provides insight.

Hello there,

This question has already been posted, but I was wondering if anybody finally resolved the NAT issue? That is, behind a firewall, how to tell DSS its public adress, so it can publish it in the http response, and not the local "192.168.1.5"?

Maybe it is working somewhere?
