'low-bit-rate streams'

Looking at Apple's most excellent new Xserve I came across the one
mention of QTSS performance which I, and I guess others, would like
clarifying...

"In addition, Xserve running QuickTime Streaming Server can deliver
more than 3,000 independent low-bit-rate streams simultaneously
without a per-stream license fee."

Could perhaps a developer, who would be closer to Apple's
interpretation of 'low-bit-rate', suggest what number in kilobits these
machines can handle..

And come to think of it, could 'independant' also be confirmed? :/

Thanks in advance..

Keep on streamin' :)
