I'm not having a complete failure of your test. Real Player opened, downloaded a MP4 plug-in and the QT sample worked.
*But* QT6 Player (Win) on the other hand reported Connecting... then reported a "10060 Disconnected" error. I tried again and got "Connecting..." QT6 appears stuck in this negotiation.
hmmm... this sounds like a job for iTunes on Mac; I had a similar problem trying to brow beat QT6 into playing a stream intended for a MP3/4 player (iTunes, WMP, RealPlayer, et al.)
This is how I understand the streaming purposes of QT6 v iTunes (WMP, RealPlayer, et al.) Further clarification is solicted from the list, but hope this helps.
