RE: Can't stream hinted mpeg1



Heh, this subject just seems to keep coming up!

You might want to check out the postings on 'Streaming MPEG2-Media?' as
AFAIK the same rules apply. The manuals & docs are very unclear about
this but it seems you might want to have the mpeg in an AVI file. Not
sure of this though - I couldn't find a description of how to do it,
just a few warnings and caveats.

I did write a longer answer to an earlier post but I didn't send it in
the end, the thread was turning into a bit of a pie fight and didn't
seem to be going anywhere.

If anyone has first hand experience of streaming MPEG1 or 2 in new
versions of DSS (4+) can you post some info on it?
