Thank for the tip about the ID2.3 Trick, I've now gone back and checked
this on both QTSS and DSS 4.1.2 - The Song, Artist and Playlist now
rotate correctly.
However, it is still sticking on the first selected song info. i.e.
even when it starts to stream track 2, the info for track 1 is
displayed.
I did discover something that might be of interest, I left the server
running, but paused the client (iTunes 3.0.1) - after about 30 minutes
I came back and pressed play on the client, at this point fresh info
for the currently playing track appeared. I've tried this on both QTSS
and DSS. I tried it with shorter periods of pause, upto 5 minutes, but
it has so far made no difference. It seems to require an extended
period before refreshing.
Would this suggest that it is not the client at fault? QTSS is not
refreshing itself to broadcast the info?
