Opening a player from a web page.

Hey folks,
   I have done what everyone suggested and embedded the stream into a
web page and it works fine but we have decided we want it to open a
player instead and play in it.  Can you folks help me with making that
happen?  I have been through the web site again and I see all the
embedding information but nothing that I can see just opens up a player
and makes it happen.
