Re: How to change web server admin port?

How do you change the admin web server port from 1220?
I assume it is some setting in streamingadminserver.conf but I have not been able to locate any
documentation on the file format.

First of all, kill off any currently running instance of the Perl streamingadminserver.pl process.

Next, as either root or the Administrator user, modify the file /Library/QuickTimeStreaming/Config/streamingadminserver.conf (on DSS for Unix it is in /etc/streaming/streamingadminserver.conf) and place the following line in the file:

	port xxxx

(where xxxx is the desired port, rather than the default of 1220).

Now, restart the 'streamingadminserver.pl' process:

   root# /usr/sbin/streamingadminserver.pl

(on DSS for Unix platforms the path is '/usr/local/sbin/streamingadminserver.pl')
