The IT guy here is trying to install Darwin on Windows2000 server.
He has
installed Perl to C:\Perl (default) and Darwin to C:\Program

Streaming Server (default), read the accompanying and after the batch

ran, he entered a username and password. The server lists Darwin
Streaming
Server as running so it seems to at least be installed. When he
types the
streamingserveradimin.pl command the cmd window just sits there. And
when
he connects with IE to the server computer's IP, he gets the error
404.
The Perl streamingadminserver.pl program runs in the foreground at the
DOS Command terminal window. This is why when he types the
streamingadminserver.pl command the window just sits there. However,
the actual QTSS server (the actual server that handles all the rtsp
streaming) does run the QTSS streaming server binary on Win2k in the
"background" as a service by default. If you want to be able to login
to the Streaming Web Admin, then he'll need to keep the DOS Command
terminal window open and running streamingadminserver.pl.
Next, as for the 404 not found here when trying to connect to the
streaming web admin, make sure that he's using :1220 as the port when
attempting to login to the Perl Streaming Web Admin from a web browser:
