I am trying to reach a broad base of users doing a live audio stream. Should I totally ignore those users. The download for QuickTime is in the 2-3 hours and then it needs configuring for the connection etc. I think on a wintel box it is a hassle. I am getting pressured to stream real or windows live, but I am bullish on doing QT. Is it that much easier to stream in Windows with a 70% installed base of wintel dial up users? I feel like I am stuck in the mud. The QT is also giving me problems with an M-audio box go in through the USB and it will not allow me to record the broadcast... The firewire seemed to be a better answer... Also is MPEG 4 the better alternative for streaming.
