Greeting,
I'd appreciate your help on the following question.
I have noticed that the two options for relay destination both result in
active pushing of data from relay host to the destination:
From GUI: Relay via TCP:
This will cause the relaying DSS to actively send RTSP "ANNOUNCE" to the
destination.
From GUI: Relay via UDP:
This will cause the relaying DSS to actively send the UDP/RTP data to the
destination, be it a unicast address or a multicast address.
So it is always active sending (pushing).
Is there a way to config a relay such that it will not become active (or
push) after it is configured. Instead, it only sends the data to the
(unicast) destination when someone sends in an (RTSP) request for this
relay?
I'm trying to clarifying some basic yes/no with DSS relay. Any help is
greatly appreciated!
Thanks,
Philip
