Re: latency problem

I would like to also put my two cents in here. When Broadcaster first came out - I was getting 3 second delays - sometimes - 5 seconds... Now I cannot get past 15-20 seconds.

I have heard from George Cook that you can mess with the cache settings and a plist or two - but what about something in the user interface.

As another addition, when I have more than one person watching a broadcast, I would like the icon in the dock to show how many connected users are watching the stream...

Help before I get the axe.
We are trying to use the Quicktime broadcaster to stream live video to several sources across the internet. However it becomes ineffective when even over the local lan we have a 20 second latency time. How can we get rid of the latency problems if people have to communicate in real time or is it just impossible? This must be high quality video and would like to make it highly available (from the dell commercial).
Thanks,
Ed
