Do you have a Web server running on the same server? Perhaps your Transport setup in the QuickTime Client is set up to access HTTP on port 80, in which case the request might be handled by your Web server, and it would be generating the 404 error message since the file isn't found in its document root...

then copied to another server that is QTSS 4.0 and NOT Jaguar. It is on
the latter machine (the one the file was copied to) where the I get the
404 error.
