RE:QTSS4 Multicast Relay Help---Please

Alan:

Wait for announce streams should work if you have default relay(s) configured on your local server. These relays should be "announcing" the stream to the remote servers. Wait for announced stream is used for this setting. But, it should work either way.

You might want to consider upgrading all the servers to 4.1, but I'm not aware of any problems in having them relay to one-another. The 4.1 server has new features (and probably a few bug fixes).

George, et, al,

I did what you suggested below, but one question...you suggested the
following:

On each remote server, set up a relay as follows. The Source
name or IP address should be the IP address or DNS name of your local
server. The mount point is the name of the sdp file that will be
generated. Check off "Wait for announced stream(s)"

However, using "Wait for announced stream(s)" didn't work. I used "Request incoming stream" w/ the username/password I
set up and then it worked. Any ideas? One thing to add...the Source QTSS
is 4.1, but the relays are only 4.0 (all running on OSX)

Thanks much
