Re: broadcast software

Another alternative for broadcasting on Windows is:

http://www.abstractplane.com.au/products_uplink.jsp

This product supports RTSP announcements (no need to manually transfer .sdp files) and MPEG-4.

There does exist the Windows version of the Sorenson Broadcaster
application
that runs on Win32. It is a commercial piece of software that works as
a live
encoder that works with QTSS over UDP (both unicast and multicast). I
don't
believe it supports the latest Automatic Announce (unicast)
broadcasting, but even
so if you are careful to copy the .sdp file from the broadcaster to
QTSS movies
directory, then you shouldn't have any problems.

hi there
thanx for ur help. but reading documnetation of mpeg4ip i think
that this is a linux based software. what if i had to broadcast through
a machine with OS as Windows? maybe i m wrong but tell me is it also
for
windows? if not tell me which software would be good for Windows. Do I
need a video capture card or just web cams would work. I would prefer
just
latter one.
thanx in advance
