Player waits on "Configuring..."

Hi,

1.) As the subject line says, when I try and connect to a stream on my server, QT player says "Configuring..." and then waits forever.

I did wonder if I had the wrong kind of movie file for streaming - but this even happens with the sample movies that come with QTSS.

I suspect t'is something very basic - but he QTSS Administrators Guide seems rather sparse, and I can't find any answers in there.

Does anyone know what the player is doing during the "Configuring..." stage?

2.) This one is less important to me, but would be good to know. All my clients (and the server) are behind a NAT gateway and firewall. When the clients connect to the server, I want them to use UDP.

My problem is that even though the QT clients can communicate with -our- server via UDP, QuickTime uses an internet address for the 'auto-configure'. Of course, the internet address is the other side of the firewall, so it fails and falls back to HTTP/TCP.

Is there any way of making clients connect via UDP to the internal server?
