Re: QuickTime Streaming over the internet

Hi Guys,

I am in the same spot that Aaron is. I am trying to use UDP for transport from behind a SonicWall firewall device. Works fine inside, but can't get out.

If any breakthroughs happen. please let me know & I will do the same.

I plan to contact SonicWall for suggestions later.

Thanks, Skip
Thanks Rick and Billy, opening The UDP ports 6970-6999 has helped a little.
Im getting past the Configuring message and and now getting the Requesting Data message. It seems to hang there and not progress.

Apple Knowledge Base had the following ports listed for Quicktime streaming. What of those ports do I need to open for RTSP streaming?

80	HTTP
554	RTSP	<- Already Open
6970-6999	Dynamic Broadcast	<- Already Open
7070	RTSP	<- Already Open
8000,8001	MP3's
10000-20000	Buffer Space
20000-65535	Static SDP
