Re: Win2000 Active Pearl first



Hi Mr. Steve, and anybody who could help.

i did them all and then install the Darwin, Darwin gave me the massage Setup-Complete and 3 more line of messages, which i copied and paste them here.

i steel don't know if the setup was successful and or how should i go to Admin-Page. don't forget setup asked me for username then asked twice for password and printed this message at the end of the page, but nothing further message(s)!. i know i bothered a lot but incase if you hint me to open-up the Admin-Page, i will be glad. Thank Every-Buddy

Right click on "My Computer", go to Properties, then Advanced. Middle option is Environment Variables. Go there, find the System Path, and add the directory that contains perl.exe.

Right under the PATH option is the PATHEXT option - add .pl there as a valid program extension.

That should do it.

Be sure the perl.exe is in your path. And perhaps register .pl as an executable file type (like .bat, .com, .exe, etc).
