Hi, I've been trying to sort this problem out for a few days and I just
can't figure it out!! I would be greatful to anyone that can help.
My streaming server is running Mac OS X Server 10.2.2, QTSS 4.1.3 QuickTime
Streaming Server appears to be running correctly.
Im currently trying to stream a prerecorded movie, and have added this to my
playlist in QTSS and played it. This creates the .sdp file which I should be
able to pick up from a client machine using QT6. When I type in the URL I
get the error '404: File not found'. Ive tried this from both PC client and
Mac clients. I cant find any problems with the set up it should be working
fine, I tried various different set ups but just cant get it to work. My
.sdp file is in the media directory, the QTSS server is able to communicate
on the network ok,
Ive tried running the movie on the OS X server using quicktime and this
seems to be running ok, but i just cant tune into it over the network. Im
not using a firewal and im not trying to http stream.
the url is rtsp://(my server IP address)/untitled.sdp
I've tried everything I can think of to make it work but with no effect.
What could I be doing wrong? I'd appreciate any help.
