QT Broadcaster is not accessing the name of a Unix user on your server,
but instead it requires a special QuickTime Streaming "movie
broadcast" username.
You need to first create a "movie broadcast" username/password by
connecting to your Streaming Web Admin (http://127.0.0.1:1220), and
then click on "General Settings", and then "Change Movie Broadcast
Password". Enter a username, and the password (twice) that you want to
use for your QT Broadcasting.
This is the username/password that you enter into your QT Broadcaster
settings.

Hi all, I'm having a difficult time trying to get QuickTime
Broadcaster to connect to the server. Please excuse the novice
question...I'm new to streaming!
I have separate machines...one with QT Broadcaster and another with
QTSS. When I select the "Broadcast" button, I am prompted for a
username and password for my QTSS machine. I've gone into Terminal and
added a "non-administrative" user and password on the QTSS
machine...of which to my understanding is what QT Broadcaster is
asking for. It still doesn't take!
My question is: What am I doing wrong? Please help!
