QuickTime Broadcaster 1.0.1, Multicasting and Windows

I have a most puzzling situation that I hope someone here can help me understand and possibly correct. Here's the situation:

QuickTime Broadcaster 1.0.1 on a Dual Gig machine Multicasting over our Multicast-enabled LAN. Audio and Video are both set to MPEG-4 and my total data rate is well under 600 kbits/sec.

I'm seeing great video and audio on both MacOS X and Win2k machines in my office. Others on this subnetted LAN are also successful, most on Windows.

The problem is that a number of folks with QuickTime 6 on Windows 98 are not getting any video or audio at all. The sequence of events they see is: Connecting... Ready... and that's it. The animated elipses goes back and forth ad infinitum.

Our networking folks say that the routers (mostly HP ProCurve) are all properly configured and I have no reason to believe that isn't the case since so many are successful. Is there any documentation that I could share with them?

Can anyone explain this or offer a workaround? Thanks in advance and please CC any replies so I get your thoughts on this w/o delay.
