The problem is that a number of folks with QuickTime 6 on Windows 98 are not getting any video or audio at all. The sequence of events they see is: Connecting... Ready... and that's it. The animated elipses goes back and forth ad infinitum.

AFAIK, in Win98 the number of simultaneous multicast sessions is limited by the NIC. Are you using the same IP address for audio and video? That might help if the NIC supports only one session.


Otherwise, you'll probably have to offer unicast streams as well. I'm not sure, but I think it may be possible to have a DSS listen to a multicast, and relay it to clients via unicast.
