There is a FreeBSD port for DSS. I installed it and it worked great. I
then found a patch to convert the FreeBSD port to OpenBSD, so I'm not
running a FreeBSD server at this time.
The port requires that you obtain the source code from Apple, which you
obviously have, due to licensing requirements.
