I have my QTSS box colocated at a hosting facility and I have my office
connected to a DSL connection...
Last week I migrated from my Airport Base Station to a Linksys
wireless/wired router switch. The speed improvement was dramatic...
However, today I wanted to see a stream from my server, and it timed out
with an error # -5408 "Timed Out"
I confirmed that the router is the problem, by bypassing it, and connecting
directly to the dsl modem. In that case my QTSS streams to my computer
fine.
I'm running the latest versions of QTSS and of the QT Player.
I'm concerned not so much for me, as I can work around the problems, but for
my clients who might have linksys routers, who would NOT be able to work
around the problems.
And ideas?
I searched Linksys and the Apple knowledge base, without success.
