Like so many of you, I too have had the same issue of downloading Darwin
Streaming Server. I spent many days trying to identify the source of the
problem.
Firstly, it is not a problem with what operating system or browser you are
using. It is entirely your (or your ISP's) firewall (or proxy server).
I came to this concusion after receving an automated response from Apple's
opensource support. To quote:
> Q: Why can't I register under the APSL (Apple Public Source License)?
> A: The most likely cause is that your system is behind a firewall or
proxy server. The recommendation would be to try > registering from a
system in another environment.
I confirmed this to be the case after modifying my proxy settings.
This may mean that you will need to go to a friends house - so you can agree
to the APSL. It's a stupid problem that Apple could easily solve if the
APSL was also in https.
More than likely the proxy is changing your IP Address from http to https -
and since the server cannot confirm your browser (based on it's IP Address),
it denies you access.
Regards,
Ian.
