Somewhere I read that text tracks can't be streamed, you have to incorporate them into your http reference movie, and probably enable preload in QT Player Pro. They may have to be totally downloaded before they display. I also read somewhere that it is no longer necessary to "optimize hints for server", which doubles the size of your movie, this is not the same as creating a hint track, which is still needed.
