Replying to myself then - the bind_ip_address feature is buggy at best. As
soon as you bind the streamingserver to 1 ip address and excluding localhost,
you run into trouble, since the admin server cannot retrieve any information
anymore.
The logging is very minimal and there's no way to bind to multiple ip adresses
and I have no clue where the requirement on localhost is configured, nor do I
see the relevance of all these bind settings, when you're going to require
localhost (meaning: you still cannot run two servers on the same machine).
Anyway - I'll see if I can come up with some sane patches once I figure this
stuff out, but if anybody has a hint (maybe the devs?) I'll appreciate it.
