Hello everyone,
I have a QuickTime Streaming Server that occasionally gets into a mode
where it accepts but then immediately closes RTSP connections and the
ServerAdmin hangs when trying to query the status of QTSS. There's
nothing indicating any problems in any logs, nor does lsof say anything
else interesting (aside from all the port 554 TCP connections in
CLOSE_WAIT). Killing QTSS (not via ServerAdmin, of course, since it
hangs) and restarting alleviates the symptoms. Most of the time a
variety of Windows and Mac based QuickTime Player and a few Linux based
Mpegable and other players stream fromt his 10.3 based QTSS installation
without any problem. This hasn't happened but 3 times in 2 months (though
all within a single day), so I have no theory about the conditions.
Does this sound familar to anyone? (I hope so, but I didn't see anything
similar in the archives...)
