The streaming server needs to receive rtcp packets back from the client
periodically. If it doesn't it will time-out the stream. Your NAT
router needs to be configured to forward the incoming udp packets to
the streaming server (odd port numbers from 6971-9999). This requires
port mapping udp, which many NAT routers do not support.
You might want to consider turning on Port 80 streaming and port
mapping port 80 traffic to your streaming server.

Hey people..
I've Come across a problem with DSS and the way, i would like it to
work..
:-) and was wondering if anyone on the list has come across the same
problem - and if, know how to solve it.. here it goes..
I've set up the DSS behind a NAT router (with private ip), and have
forwarded the appropriate port (554) so it can be reached from the
outside
(through public ip)...
The problem is, when i want to catch a stream from the outside (The
internet) - depending on how, i get failure, no matter what..
if i call the stream with http://streamingserver:554/file.mov - i get
the
10060 failure... - if i call it with rtsp://streamingserver/file.mov -
it
plays about 1 second with sound and picture - after witch it "keeps on
playing" except its still the first second picture on the screen, and
audio is mute..
Anyone got any idea, what could be wrong..?
Greetings René
