In recent updates to QTSS and DSS via CVS there are some settings in
streamingserver.xml that can be "tuned" to support 3gp phones. Because
of the tight bandwidth constraints with mobile phones, buffering can be
tuned by adjusting the following parameters:
This adjusts the bandwidth the streaming server returns in the b= line
of the sdp file. Some 3gp players (i.e. Real Player) interpret this
parameter as the average bandwidth of the stream instead of the maximum
bandwidth (which is correct according to the sdp RFC). Setting it too
low will cause the player to rebuffer, setting it too high will cause
the player to complain that there is "not enough bandwidth." In your
case, I would try increasing this setting and restarting the
server/streaming process.
Other notes:
The line:
<PREF NAME="enable_player_compatibility" TYPE="Bool16" >true</PREF>
Enables or disables the
compatibility_adjust_sdp_media_bandwidth_percent setting.
The line:
<PREF NAME="enable_rtsp_play_info_full_url" TYPE="Bool16" >true</PREF>
Has been added to return fully specified urls to clients, required by
some 3gp players.
Hope this helps,
-George

Hi , i am running the Latest QTSS for 3gp Streaming. It works fine for
Nokia 6230 Phones, but i got bad results for Real Player Based Phones
(6620 and 7610).
The thing is i have a lot of processing Buffer Loops that never
ends.Or sometimes i got just Sound feed with no image.
I use the latest Popwire braodcaste to generate the live stream.
The Configuraions i use mostly are
1)12kb for Video (h263 -2000) SubQcif, 4.75 for Audio(AMR-NB)
2) 18Kb for Video SubQcif and 4.75 for Audio
If somebody has any idea about how can i solve this i would be really
thankfull
Thanks
