QuickTime Broadcaster usage with DSS

Title: QuickTime Broadcaster usage with DSS
Hey all,

I’ve done some experimenting tonight and have had absolutely no luck!

I’ve setup the Darwin Streaming Server on my G5, (IP – 192.168.1.254) and I’ve configured my PowerBook to broadcast an Automatic Unicast (Announce) method of Transmission.

Under Hostname, I’ve put the IP address of my G5, named the file test.sdp, and entered the username and password that I used to setup the Darwin Streaming Server.

I haven’t been able to find documentation relating to creating QT users to the Darwin Streaming Server.  Every time I attempt to broadcast to my DSS, it keeps asking me for a username and password, and each and every time I type in the administrative userID and password, the dialog box keeps reappearing, and never disappears.

If I disable the Broadcast over TCP checkbox, I simply get a “Precondition Failed (412)” error.

Can anyone help or provide me with a good tutorial to get started with live streaming / webcasting?

Thanks for ANY help whatsoever!!!
