I am also struggeling with the same problem and have tried to build the
latest source. But I am on a windows system and I have not been able to
build the source. Perhaps someone has successfully been able to build
the latest source on windows, and could offer some suggestions ? I wrote
about this once before, but it was in the middle of christmas and I
naturally received no replies :)
This is from my original message :
I have downloaded the latest source files with cvs, and I am now trying
to compile them using the supplied StreamingServer.dsw workspace file
with Microsoft Visual C++ 6.0. But I have run into two problems that I
have specified below.
Problem 1: Open opening the StreamingServer.dsw file, Visual C++
complains it can not locate project StreamingLoadTool.
Problem 2. Visual C++ can not build DarwinStreamingServer.exe, and
returns the errors listed below.

Emne: Re: streaming 3gp files to phone handsets
The last time I looked at QuickTime support in RealServer, it was very
much
behind the current generation of QTSS/DSS. It is doubtful that it would
stream 3GPP/3GPP2, although anything is possible. That is why they have
Helix Universal Server Mobile, but as you say, at a price!
My recommendation is to use the latest DSS 5.0.3.2, build the binaries,
as
they are not yet posted on the Apple website, and go from there.
5.0.3.2
has addressed many of the 3GPP issues in the previous releases.
We have successfully streamed live and file streams to 3GPP and 3GPP2
handsets using the most recent DSS.
