This may sound like a strange question, but I would like to find out
how to configure an airport base station so that my streaming server
can be accessed through the Internet. I tried to use a third-party
router to establish a wireless network at home, but found that the
instructions on how to configure the router so that my computer
maintained its static IP address were too confusing.
I'm not really sure what terminology to use for a search to find out
this information. I will be connecting the airport base station to the
Internet through a cable modem. The cable modem is connected to the WAN
ethernet port and the desktop computer running the DSS will be
connected to the airport base station via the LAN port.
Any assistance that you could provide would be greatly appreciated.
